§ Mr. Walter Johnsonasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he is satisfied with the performance of the various training boards that come within his jurisdiction; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Golding, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 19 February 1979; Vol. 963, c. 14], gave the following information:
While I believe that the majority of industrial training boards have made an important contribution to the development of training in industry there is always room for improvement. The Manpower Services Commission supported by the Government is working in conjunction with ITBs to secure further improvements in training in skills needed by industry.
