Mr. Wm. Ross

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what is the present number of vehicles passing between Londonderry-Limavady and Coleraine-Limavady on the trunk route; and what the forecasts are for 1985 and 1990.

Mr. Carter

A census conducted in August 1978 recorded the number of vehicles per day travelling between Limavady and Coleraine as 4,024.

The predicted ranges for 1985 are 7,650 to 9,000 and 4,650 to 5,500 respectively and, for 1990, 8,100 to 10,500 and 4,900 to 6,500 respectively.
