asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he is satisfied with the level of staffing in the Housing Executive grants section.

Mr. Carter

Staffing levels are the responsibility of the Executive but are in some cases subject to the approval of the Department of the Environment for Northern Ireland. The Department recently approved proposals for substantial staff increases to deal with the various grants payable by the Executive.
