Mr. Fitt

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what is the total cost of running the Fair Employment Agency.

Mr. Concannon

The cost of the Fair Employment Agency from the date of its establishment on 1 September 1976 to 31 March 1978 amounted to £130,121. The estimated expenditure for the year ending 31 March 1979 is £113,000. Separate statements of accounts and the auditors' reports thereon for the period 1 September 1976 to 31 March 1977 and for the year ended 31 March 1978 have been laid before Parliament to-day.

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many people are employed in the Fair Employment Agency.

Mr. Concannon

14 people, including the full-time chairman, are employed in the Fair Employment Agency for Northern Ireland.
