§ Mr. Giles Shawasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what are the current car mileage allowances paid to doctors, nurses and community health workers, including physiotherapists; when these were last reviewed; when next they will be reviewed; and how they compare with car allowances currently paid to the general Civil Service.
§ Mr. DeakinsNHS standard and regular user mileage rates are reviewed with effect from 1 April each year and the public transport rate more frequently. All rates are currently under review. The present rates for all NHS staff are as follows:
