The Earl of GOWRIEThe normal retirement age for the groups listed are:
- (a) For Major-Generals, 55;
- (b) For Regimental Sergeant-Majors, after 22 years service or age 55 whichever is earlier;
- (c) For Chief Constables, 65;
- (d) For Ambassadors, 60;
- (e) For Clerks or Chief Executives of County or Second-tier Authorities, 65.
