§ Mr. Hooleyasked the Secretary of State for Energy (1) what information has been supplied to the Nuclear Installations Inspectorate arising from the Harrisburg nuclear disaster, in the light of its curent evaluation of a pressurized-water reactor system for the United Kingdom;
(2) what reports he has received from the team of officials sent from the United Kingdom to obtain information about the Harrisburg nuclear disaster; and if these reports will be made public;
(3) what information has been supplied to the National Radiological Protection Board arising from the Harrisburg nuclear disaster in the light of current evaluations of pressurized-water reactor systems for the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. David HowellThe United Kingdom agencies concerned with safety and the radiological consequences of release of radioactivity are in close touch with their United States counterparts, who374W have provided them freely with available information. The hon. Member will appreciate that the United States Government inquiry into this incident is still in progress. It would seem best to await the completion of this inquiry, and the fullest availability of facts, before considering the publication of reports here.
