HL Deb 12 June 1979 vol 400 c606WA
Lord O'HAGAN

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they are in favour of the sale of smallholdings owned by local authorities.

Earl FERRERS

The Government consider that county councils individually should be free to make their own decisions. We are confident that they will take fully into account the interests of their smallholdings tenants and of agriculture before taking any decisions.
