Mr. Cryer

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he anticipates incorporating any changes in his legislative proposals on picketing as a result of consultation with the trade union movement.

My right hon. Friend looks forward to holding full consultations with representatives of the TUC on all the Government's legislative proposals in the field of industrial relations. I cannot as yet anticipate incorporating any changes in the Government's proposals on picketing as a result of such consultations, since the consultations have only recently commenced. He will, of course, give serious consideration to any suggestion that is put forward.
