HC Deb 27 July 1979 vol 971 cc665-6W
Mr. Moyle

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services when he intends to set up an inquiry into the problems of the London health service including the provision of primary health care in Inner London, as recommended by the Royal Commission on the Health Service.

Mr. Patrick Jenkin

I recognise the seriousness of the problems facing the Health Service in London. The Government are considering the recommendations of the Royal Commission on the National Health Service, including the possibility of an inquiry in London. A consultative document giving the Government's views on the future structure and management of the service will be issued in the autumn.
