§ Mr. Alfred Morrisasked the Secretary of State for Industry why the city of Manchester is to lose entitlement to derelict land grant, in view of the fact that no announcement has been made about the derelict land clearance areas in the West and East Midlands and the inner city partnership areas of Birmingham and London which will be continuing to receive the grant.
§ Mr. David MitchellAreas which lose their assisted area status will be considered during the three-year transitional period to see whether they should be given derelict land clearance area status.
