§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsThe Government have decided to make an interest-free loan of £4 million to the Dyfed county council towards the cost of reconstructing the Cleddau bridge. The loan will be repayable over 40 years and is to be used to relieve the ratepayers of Dyfed of part of the charges on the council's capital debt. The circumstances at Cleddau are unique in that the bridge collapsed, it had to be rebuilt to a much higher standard than before and the construction was delayed for several years.
