§ Mr. Kilroy-Silkasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many prisoners have so far been held in each of the three windowless and sound proofed cells in Brixton Prison; for what reasons; and for how long.
§ Mr. BrittanBrixton has two protected rooms in which a prisoner may be located on the authority of the medical officer when it is necessary on medical grounds and to avert as far as possible a situation which might entail recourse to mechanical restraint. The rooms have windows and are clad with a protective resilient surface. They are not sound-proofed. The other information requested cannot be obtained except at disproportionate cost.
