§ Mr. Jim LesterIt is not my Department's practice to provide seasonally adjusted unemployment figures below regional level. For most travel-to-work areas the comparatively low numbers of unemployed would involve technical difficulties in producing satisfactory results. It is unlikely that the quality of the resulting figures would justify the extra resources necessary to process and keep up to date seasonally adjusted unemployment series for each travel-to-work area.
