§ Mr. Spenceasked the Secretary of State for Industry (1) if he will take steps to remove the Post Office monopoly on the supply of private telephone amplifying equipment for the hard of hearing; and if he will make a statement;
(2) in the light of the long waiting period for installation of private telephone amplifying equipment for the hard of hearing, if he will take steps to improve the provision of such services.
§ Mr. David MitchellThe supply of telephone amplifying equipment for the hard of hearing is a matter for the Post Office. However, we are looking into the whole question of the provision of telecommunications attachments.
