The study is based on the Department's current traffic forecasts which cover a range of assumptions which allow for the recent increase in petrol prices and further increases in real prices in the future. The future of the scheme will be considered in the light of both this report and of our current review of public expenditure. We do not therefore propose to seek an initial report.
