I believe that the Greater London Council is right in attaching importance to the docklands southern relief road. § Mr. Kenneth ClarkeMy right hon. Friend has no plans at present to introduce a system of type approval for new motor cycles, although he is considering proposals for new regulations on noise from such cycles which will involve certifying compliance with the limits laid down. The views of interested bodies will be sought on these proposals.
§ Mr. Peter Lloydasked the Minister of Transport what was the total number of motor cyclists killed in each year since 1972; and what proportions of these fatalities were caused by rider misjudgment, machine fault and third party error.
