asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will set out the steps he is taking to ensure that general anaesthesia in general dental practice is available to those patients who need and require it.

While I do not necessarily accept the implication of my hon. Friend's question, I had already arranged to meet representatives of the relevant medical and dental bodies shortly to discuss the issues involved.
