§ Dr. BoysonFigures for the total number of pupils in maintained nursery, primary and secondary education are as follows. Comparable data for the metropolitan areas do not exist prior to 1974 due to local authority reorgainsation, and projections beyond 1980 for such areas are not readily available in my Department.
