§ Dr. VaughanNo. Services for the elderly in Swindon need to be improved and the strategic plan of the Wessex regional health authority sets as one of its 10-year objectives the provision of district hospital based beds for the elderly in all three districts in Wiltshire, some replacement of beds for the elderly in community hospitals, and an increase in the level of spending of these services.
