§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithAll member States, including France, operate schemes appropriate to the particular structure and organisation of their agriculture industries. It is the responsibility of the EEC Commission to assess the compatability of such schemes under the competition rules in the Treaty of Rome. If the hon. Member has details of any French concession that he believes should be examined by the Commission, perhaps he will send me the details.
