HC Deb 23 July 1979 vol 971 cc62-3W
Mr. Newens

asked the Lord Privy Seal if he will make a statement on current British relations with East Timor; and if any change is being contemplated in the light of the results of the Indonesian invasion.

Mr. Blaker

We have no relations with East Timor, which is not a separate State. The Indonesian authorities were made aware at the time of their intervention in East Timor of the disquiet which it provoked in this country and elsewhere.
