§ Mr. Foulkesasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list plans for trunk road developments in Scotland for the next five years, with costs, dates of expected start and completion and indicate where construction of bypasses for Maybole and Girvan appear on the list of priorities.
§ Mr. RifkindThe trunk road programme is presently under review. Feasibility studies of bypasses for May-bole and Girvan will be carried out later this year. It is not envisaged that construction of the schemes can be undertaken within the next five years.
