§ Mr. Denis HowellOfficials of my Department are discussing with trade associations and manufacturers the extent to which the search for substitutes could lead to a reduction in the release of chlorofluorocarbons. In the light of this information and the present scientific evidence about damage due to CFCs we shall review whether further measures are necessary.
