§ Mr. Freudasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will publish the evidence he has on the detrimental effect of fluoridation, and in particular that reported in the trial in the Court of Common Pleas, Allegheny Court, Pennsylvania, including the judges' opinion of 16th November 1978.
§ Mr. Moyle:I do not have evidence which I accept as showing a detrimental effect and I continue to endorse fluoridation as a safe and effective means of protecting the community against dental decay. As to the Allegheny County Court case mentioned by the hon. Member, I refer him to my reply to the hon. Member for Brighton, Kemptown Mr. Bowden on 14th December 1978.—[Vol. 960, c. 344.]
