Category B companies which have reported under the code of conduct

British companies designated Category B are those holding from 10–49 per cent. of the equity of a South African company employing 20 or more black Africans. Companies within this category were not called upon to follow the detailed reporting format but were asked to publish as much information as possible on the policy and practices of their South African affiliates in respect of the areas covered in the Code. Up to 31 January 1979, the Department of Trade had received reports from the following Category B companies:
