§ Mr. Sainsburyasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many maintenance funds for historic buildings, section 84, Finance Act 1976, there were known to the Treasury to have been established or to be in process of establishment up to 31 December last, or the latest convenient date; and on how many of these the Treasury has made a direction under subsection (1)(b) of that section by the same date.
§ Mr. Joel BarnettThe Treasury is aware of 10 proposals to establish maintenance funds under section 84 of the Finance Act 1976.
No direction under section 84(1)(b) of the Finance Act 1976 has so far been issued.
