§ Mr. MulleyDefence expenditure is planned to rise by 3 per cent. in real terms in 1980–81 compared with 1979–80. As stated in the latest public expenditure White Paper—Cmnd. 7439—no decisions have yet been taken on the size of the defence budget for 1981–82 and 1982–83.
