§ Mr. Higginsasked the Attorney-General whether, pursuant to his statement in the House on 25 January, an individual having no connection whatsoever with a particular industrial dispute who joins a picket line is acting in furtherance of an industrial dispute.
The Attorney-GeneralSo far as can be traced, there is no legal authority on this point. In the absence of authority, the best answer which I can give is that the question whether such an individual is acting in furtherance of a trade dispute depends on whether the court considers that his purpose is to further that dispute28W or is some ulterior purpose not connected with that dispute. This appears to be a question of fact in each case.
