HC Deb 05 February 1979 vol 962 c70W
Mr. Molloy

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will seek to change consultation procedures in regard to land use planning, in order to ensure that all householders in the area are consulted by local authorities when development is contemplated upon open spaces used for recreational purposes.

Mr. Guy Barnett

Local authorities already consult widely on planning applications, and this includes ascertaining the views of neighbours. In any case they are required to take into account all representations made to them.
