Mr. Clemitson

asked the Secretary of State for Trade (1) what proportion of visible exports did exports to India constitute in each of the last five years for which figures are available; and what were the corresponding figures for exports to the European Economic Community;

(2) what proportion of total visible imports did imports from India constitute in each of the last five years for which figures are available; and what were the corresponding figures for imports from the European Economic Community.
