asked the Secretary of State for Energy what countries are currently producing or have projects for producing liquid fuel from biomass.

Liquid fuels are being produced from biomass in Brazil and the United States of America. Research and development into ways of converting the additional requirements placed on it in the United Kingdom market.

Aviation gasoline supplies are expected to be adequate for the foreseeable future, provided that there is no interruption to crude oil supplies. The price will be influenced by changes in crude oil prices and other factors.
