HL Deb 11 December 1979 vol 403 cc1135-6WA
Baroness MASHAM of ILTON

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Which two unfilled consultants posts at the Duchess of Kent's Military Hospital at Catterick are covered by civilian consultation on a sessional basis, to which specialty an extra post is to be allocated and which specialty will therefore lose the post.

The MINISTER of STATE, MINISTRY of DEFENCE (Lord Strathcona and Mount Royal)

The two consultants' posts at the Duchess of Kent's Military Hospital at Catterick which are covered by civilian consultants on a sessional basis are in the specialties of opthalmology and psychiatry. The specialty of rheumatology and rehabilitation will lose its consultant post in favour of an extra post in surgery.
