Mr. Forman

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, if, pursuant to his reply to the hon. Member for Reigate (Mr. Gardiner) on 9 February, he will now estimate the total Government revenues accruing from North Sea Oil and gas exploitation, broken into individual categories.

Mr. Robert Sheldon,

pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 2 April 1979; Vol. 965, c. 447], gave the following answer:

Mr. Gordon Wilson

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if retirement pensions, disability pensions or widows' pensions are subject to tax in any of the EEC member States apart from the United Kingdom, any of the Scandinavian nations, Switzerland or Austria; and if he will publish details, from international sources, in the Official Report.

Sheldon, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 2 April 1979; Vol. 965, c. 447], gave the following answer:

Retirement pensions and widows' pensions are subject to tax in all the countries referred to; but disability pensions are only taxed in full in Ireland, Italy, Sweden, Norway and Switzerland. They are wholly or partly exempted from tax in the other countries.
