HC Deb 04 April 1979 vol 965 c701W
1. Mr. Rost

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he is satisfied with progress on the programme for domestic thermal insulation.

11. Mr. Hooley

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the total sum made available to local housing authorities during the current financial year for insulating council dwellings, and the estimated amount that will be avail able in 1979–80.

Mr. Armstrong

I am satisfied with progress in both the public and private sectors.

At November 1977 prices £23 million has been made available for insulating council dwellings for each year; £22 million has also been allocated in the current year and £25 million in 1979–80 to the homes insulation scheme in the private sector.
