§ Mr. Viggersasked the Secretary of State for Energy if he will explain the discussion procedures adopted by the Government in obtaining views on the draft offshore fire fighting equipment regulations guidance notes, and list in the Official Report the individuals and companies whose comments have been obtained.
§ Dr. MabonThe discussion procedures, as is normal practice, involve the guidance note being circulated in draft form to interested parties inviting their comments. All comments will be carefully considered before the guidance notes are finalised.
Other organisations which have expressed an interest have been supplied with copies for their information. Those consulted are shown below—table A lists those which have already commented and table B lists those which, as yet, have not responded.
