HC Deb 04 April 1979 vol 965 c731W
Mr. Kilfedder

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whether he will consider, as a matter of convenience to the Public Accounts Committee, the publication of all accounts audited or examined by the Comptroller and Auditor-General in a single volume under the general designation "Northern Ireland Trading and other Accounts".

Mr. Pendry

No. Certain accounts are required by statute to be laid before the House of Commons and other accounts are laid each year by command of Her Majesty. It is not customary to lay before the House in one volume accounts belonging to these two groups; indeed to do so could cause practical difficulties with implications for the timetable of the Public Accounts Committee.
