Mr. Corbett

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what would be the current level of charges by item for National Health Service services or equipment on which charges are payable if adjusted to the current inflation rate since they were last increased.

Many of the charges for services and equipment are directly related to cost or are subject to regular review, and inflation is among the factors reflected in these charges. Other charges, which have not been reviewed in this way or are subject to a maximum charge, would need to be adjusted as follows:
