- Bolton general—New maternity department and Geriatric day hospital.
Lancashire AHA
- Blackpool Victoria—Major development including new wards blocks and operating theatre.
- Devonshire Road, Blackpool—Unit for the elderly severely mentally ill infirm.
- Burnley general—Out-patient department and accident and emergency department.
674 - Chorley and district—Unit for the elderly severely mentally infirm.
- Sharoes Green—Unit for the younger disabled.
Manchester AHA(T)
- Ancoats—Out-patients department and Improvement to accident unit.
- Crumpsall—Maternity unit.
- Withington—Alcoholism and de-toxification unit, Unit for the younger disabled, Operating theatres and Improvements to X-ray department.
Oldham AHA
- Oldham district general—New boilerhouse
Rochdale AHA
- Birch Hill—60-bed surgical block, 4 room X-ray department and Children's comprehensive assessment unit.
Salford AHA(T)
- Hope—Out-patients department, X-ray and pathology department, Ante-natal clinic and New boilerhouse.
- Ladywell—Unit for the younger disabled.
Stockport AHA
- Stepping Hill—New ward units.
Tameside AHA
- Tameside general—Geriatric day hospital and Twin operating theatres.
- Hyde—Unit for the elderly severely mentally infirm.
Trafford AHA
- Park—Out-patients department, Accident and emergency unit, X-ray department and Ante-natal clinic.
Wigan AHA
- Leigh infirmary—90 bed ward block and Unit for the elderly severely mentally infirm.
In the years since 1973–74 over 60 health centres have been built in the North-Western Region including 18 in Lancashire.
