§ 55. Mr. Hardyasked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will make it possible for road patrolmen employed by the national motoring organisations to attend to vehicle emergency repairs within motorway service areas.
§ Mr. Horam:Under present arrangements this would require the consent of the service area operators, because of the terms of their leases. The Prior committee recommended changes in the arrangements and consultations will start shortly with the operators, the national motoring organisations and others about the committee's recommendations.
