asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what has been the total cost, including work hours, equipment and refurnishing, of the continued operation of cleansing and making habitable the H block cells destroyed by Irish Republican Army prisoners.

Mr. Concannon:

Up to 18th November, the total cost of cleaning and refurbishing the cells occupied by non-conforming prisoners has been approximately £50,600.
