HC Deb 27 November 1978 vol 959 c2W
Mr. Moonman

asked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection what records are maintained about glue sniffing in each locality; and what action he proposes to take.

Mr. John Fraser:

My Department is not aware of any such records. No practicable way of dealing with the problem of"sniffing"has so far been identified other than by means of giving advice to young people, in those areas where it proves to be necessary, through schools, social and medical services, youth organisations and the police. This is the approach which I shall continue to support.
