§ Mr. Merlyn ReesThe classification of all controlled drugs, including cannabis, and the maximum penalties appropriate for all offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 including unlawful possession are currently being reviewed by the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs. I shall consider its recommendations in due course.
