asked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) what is the allocation of funds by the Housing Corporation to the various regions in Scotland to be distributed to housing associations for improvement of sub-standard dwellings; and what are the precise sums and the relative percentage being made available in each region in Scotland, showing the breakdown region by region;

(2) what was the number of acquisitions of tenement properties for rehabilitation allowed to housing associations in Edinburgh by the Housing Corporation in 1977–78 and in 1978–79; and how many acquisitions of tenement properties for rehabilitation were allowed to housing associations by the Housing Corporation to each region in Scotland, giving precise figures for each year from 1974 to date.
