§ 32. Mr. Michael Spicerasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether his Department has had further discussions with the Chief Constable of West Mercia about additional manpower requirements in the area.
§ Dr. SummerskillI am glad to say that agreement has been reached with the West Mercia Police Authority on a restructuring of the force. We have further agreed that the establishment should be increased by 163, to include the supervisory posts needed to introduce the new structure by 1st January next and to improve supervision generally.
