HC Deb 04 May 1978 vol 949 c231W
Mr. Madden

asked the Secretary of State for Industry what basis of funding will apply to the Clothing Industry Productivity Resources Agency.

Mr. Alan Williams

The Government have agreed to provide £450,000 over the next five years towards the initial costs of launching the Clothing Industry Productivity Resources Agency which will be a grant-aided body. Parliamentary approval to this new service will be sought in a Supplementary Estimate for the Industrial Innovation; Technological and Industrial Sponsorship Vote. Pending that approval the necessary expenditure will be met by repayable advances from the Contingencies Fund up to £30,000.
