§ Mr. JohnThe information requested is not readily available and could be obtained only at disproportionate cost. However, of the 2,480 females remanded in custory during 1976 to await trial for whom the charge is known, 330 were charged with offences of violence against the person. Information concerning the nature of the offence is not at present available for 239 females remanded in custody during 1976.
