HC Deb 23 March 1978 vol 946 cc686-7W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, in view of the fact that Khalid Ammed, Mohammed Rana, Ejaz Durrani, Javed Agha, and Mohammed Alam were all found guilty at the Old Bailey of smuggling drugs into Great Britain whether he will, on completion of their sentences, deport these men to their countries of origin.

Dr. Summerskill

One of the individuals concerned is a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies with the right of abode in the United Kingdom and so cannot be deported. The cases of the others will be considered nearer the end of their sentences.
