§ Mr. Frank Allaunasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will state the approximate estimated total cost of contracts placed with British Aerospace and 641W a number of other firms for further limited studies regarding production of components for medium-range weapons similar to the cruise missile; and if he will state what consideration has so far been given to proceeding with their production, either unilaterally or in collaboration with other countries.
§ Mr. MulleyWe have no plans for the development or production of cruise missiles or their components and no contracts for these purposes. As previously explained, we have limited contracts for research studies of cruise missile technology.
