§ Mr. Hooleyasked the Minister of Overseas Development what further capital aid she intends to offer Malawi on the expiry of Great Britain's existing commitment in 1978.
§ Mr. TomlinsonAfter discussions with my officials, the Malawi Government were offered and have accepted a grant of £26 million to finance agreed development projects during the three years from 1st April 1978, and an agreement to this effect will be signed in Lilongwe on 29th March 1978. In addition, our existing capital aid commitment of £15 million for the three years ending 31st March 1978 has very recently been increased by a grant of £3 million.
